Since 1993, the South Korean automaker Kia has been building the Kia Sportage 2022, a compact SUV. Since 2004, it has been categorized as a Compact crossover SUV.

The first generation KIA Sportage was introduced at the start of the new millennium. In Pakistan at the time, it was a fairly popular entry-level SUV. The second generation Sportage, which was released in 2006, did not find much success due to its poor safety ratings and unappealing features. Due to the termination of its joint venture with the Dewan Mushtaq Group, KIA took the second-generation Sportage with it when it left Pakistan. 2010 saw the global release of the third generation Sportage, which boasts better safety features and an improved body design.

A well-liked SUV in Pakistan is the fourth-generation KIA Sportage. The Sportage made its debut in August 2019 from KIA Lucky Motors. Korean automakers have dominated the SUV market ever since. However, Sportage is not a completely new product on the local market. Pakistan and it have a history.

The KIA Sportage 2022 has a sleek design that looks contemporary and fashionable. With Kia's recognizable tiger-nose grille, the front looks sporty. The front of the car is heavily chromed, and various parts of the car, such as the roof rails and fog lamps, are covered in a glossy black material. The exterior mirrors can be heated, retracted, and adjusted electrically.

The Kia Sportage's front end features beautiful LED side indicators, daytime running lights, bi-function projection halogen headlights in the Alpha model, and LED headlamps in the AWD and FWD versions. When the smart car fob is within range, the welcome lights on the car handles highlight.
With LED brake lights, a shark fin antenna, and a roof spoiler with an integrated high-mounted stop lamp, the rear profile is stunning. The AWD and FWD variants' integrated roof racks are built to hold the most amount of luggage possible, and accessory crossbars add additional utility. A panoramic sunroof is also included with the AWD and FWD models.

All variations come standard with a rear camera. Additionally, the AWD model has a power tailgate with a memory function and adjustable height. Overall, the car has a very sporty appearance and resembles a smaller Porsche Cayenne.

Despite being elegant and spotless, the KIA Sportage 2022's interior feels outdated compared to other contemporary SUVs. The seats in the Alpha variant are upholstered in premium fabric, those in the FWD variant in high-grade fabric, and those in the AWD variant in premium leather.

Both the FWD and the Alpha variants allow manual adjustment of the front seats. The front seats in the AWD version, on the other hand, can be adjusted in both directions by the driver and the passenger. The front seats in the AWD model also have 2-way powered adjustable lumbar support. The rear seats can be split 60:40 in all variations.

In all variations, the leather-wrapped steering wheel can be adjusted for tilt and telescope. Access to audio controls, calls, voice recognition, cruise control, and MID is made possible by steering-wheel switches. The TFT cluster is displayed on a 3.5-inch LCD screen along with the speedometer, fuel average, mileage, and drive modes.

A 1999cc, 2.0-liter gasoline MPI engine with 115/6200kW/rpm and 196/4000 Nm/rpm of torque powers the Kia Sportage 2022. A 6-speed automatic and spermatic transmission are paired with the engine. There are three driving modes available: Normal, Eco, and Sport.

The Alpha and FWD variants are front-wheel-drive automobiles, whereas the AWD variant is an automobile with all four wheels moving.

Due to its better fuel efficiency, the Hyundai Tucson offers the Sportage some serious competition. The Sportage is more affordable than the Tucson despite having the same remaining features.

The Kia Sportage faces competition from the Proton X70 as well. All of the Sportage's features are included in the X70, which has a roomier interior. It also costs less, which gives it the advantage over the Sportage.
